Drop Down box not showing option

I'm using a drop down list for a parameter in RS2005. The issue comes when there is only one option. When I render the report inside the microsoft studio it works fine, but when I render the report from the Report Server (web browser) if there is only one option in the dropdown menu then it seems that it is there but I can't see it. It is a multivalued parameter. Is there a way to resize the dropdown list or any way I can fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This issue was fixed in a QFE. It will be available in SP2. The QFE is not publicly available, but if you need it you can contact Microsoft Customer support and they should be able to give you access to the QFE.|||

Thanks for your response. I contacted Microsoft Support and they told me I needed an article Number. Do you know that number?, If so, can you please send it to me?

Thanks again,

Pilar

Drilldowns with SOAP rendering or SSRS 2005?

We are running SSRS with SQL Server 2000 and are working on developing an
ASP.NET application that would use SOAP web access to render the reports.
However, I was wondering how this works with linked or drill down reports,
which we are thinking will be an important part of our design.
Has anyone done this successfully? How does it work? Normally, the
reportingservice.render method is called, but I read about an issue that
occurs when a drill down report is encountered. Apparently the user is
redirected to the Report Manager, as there is no way to tell the Report
Server that the drill down destination should be mapped to the calling
application. I also read that there may be something better for this in SQL
Server 2005, but I wonder when we should expect that?
Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
Thanks,
nickpupwell i ve been using SSRS 200 with SQL Server 2000 n ASP.Net for my
reports n i had the same problem of handling linked n toggle reports
as far as linked reports r concerned those were settled by changing the
path of the linked report to my application's webpage that shows the
specified linked report with parameters in URL through JUMP TO URL
PROPERTY however i couldnt resolve the toggled report problem i tried
but couldnt succeed if u get the idea plz let me know as well|||I will - thanks.

Drilldown doesnt work through Render Method.

I created a drilldown report in VS 2003. When checked in the VS2003 preview
and Reportmanager the report works fine. But when the same report is rendered
to HTML through ReportingService.Render method, the expand/Collapse images
are not rendered nor does the report show clickable links to view the
collapsed section. None of the drilldown reports installed with the samples
too, do not work when rendered.
I am guessing that the Show/Hide Toggle ID may play a key part to the
solution, but help files do not posses enough information.
Any help in this matter is highly appreciated.
KunjalWhen you render it, what format is the rendering? If it is HTML3.2, it
doesn't have the JScript requirements you need. Try to do it in HTML4.0.

that I browsed to the server the wrong way.
I entered
http://<server>/ReportManager/<myProject>
which sent me to the directory folders, but the report did not render
correctly. I should have gone to:
http://<server>/Reports
And then browsed to the report there. Going in that way, I and my
co-workers could view the report correctly.
Cheers,

I am rendering the report in HTML4.0 format. Just to give more info, i am
rendering the images and stylesheet as seperate streams and linking them
correctly.
The report just doesnt show the + & - images nor does the html source have
any code to indicate that a clickable element is present.
My browser is set to default settings, cookies are enabled, nor does the
server name have any spaces or underscores or stuff like that.
To verify my code and the report design, i tried to render the "Territory
Sales Drilldown" report from the sample application and observed the same
behaviour that the report works fine in VS environment and on the report
server, but not when rendered to HTML4.0.
Help in this regard will be highly appreaciated.

Drill down matrix report slow performance

I have created OLAP cubes and we are creating reports on top of them. The reports take incredibly long to render (40 seconds to 5 minutes). The MDX for the reports runs in less than 15 seconds when executed as a query in Mgt. Studio. Browsing is also fast. The reports are drill down matrix-type reports and they do eventually display properly. Not that this should help with the mechanics of the issue but the report data source query will show how we drill across dimensions:

<code>

SELECT NON EMPTY { [Measures].[Number of Queries Run] } ON COLUMNS, NON EMPTY { ([ClientProjectDim].[Project ID].[Project ID].ALLMEMBERS * [UserDim].[UserName].[UserName].ALLMEMBERS * [QueryDim].[Status].[Status].ALLMEMBERS * [DateDim].[Date Hierarchy].[ClusteredHourOfDay].ALLMEMBERS ) } DIMENSION PROPERTIES MEMBER_CAPTION, MEMBER_UNIQUE_NAME ON ROWS FROM [Ad Hoc] CELL PROPERTIES VALUE, BACK_COLOR, FORE_COLOR, FORMATTED_VALUE, FORMAT_STRING, FONT_NAME, FONT_SIZE, FONT_FLAGS

</code>

The RS and security logs don't have anything meaningful. As the MDX works well when executed as a query but not in the reports I can't tell if it's a rendering issue somewhere. Has anyone experienced this issue and is there a resolution aside from restructuring the report?

I am experiencing similar issues but no answers, did you ever resolve youra?|||We did not resolve this, but rather restructured our reports. You might consider this. You can set up your reports with params for drill-through.|||Thanks, however I did parametize this report. I will try to restructure and do this long and laborious way. I noticed in the AS browser and MDX query designer they are using nice drill through tree for the parameters, but no drill through in the rendered form. Is that due to a property setting I am missing.
